These terms govern your use of animeclips.online, whether you are just browsing, subscribed to our newsletter, or supporting on Patreon. By using the site, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site. We have tried to write this in plain language; if anything is unclear, email [loading].

1. About animeclips.online

animeclips.online is a brand and curated library of short anime clips for AMV editors and other content creators who use the clips as source material for transformative work. The brand is based in Quebec, Canada.

All clip packs we release eventually become free for everyone. Patreon supporters help fund the work and get earlier access to packs that are still in progress or finished but not yet publicly released. Nothing on the site is gated behind a permanent paywall. Patreon exists as a support system, not as a paywall.

2. Eligibility

animeclips.online is intended for users at least thirteen years old. If you are between the age of digital consent in your country and the age of legal majority, you confirm that a parent or legal guardian has reviewed these terms with you. We reserve the right to remove any account or membership we reasonably believe is held by someone under thirteen.

3. Acceptable use

When you use animeclips.online, you agree not to:

Attempt unauthorized access to the site, our infrastructure, or any account.
Scrape, mass-download, or automate data collection without our written permission.
Redistribute, mirror, or sell clips obtained from animeclips.online to third parties.
Use the site for unlawful purposes or in violation of any applicable law.
Harass, threaten, or harm anyone connected to the site, or post spam, malicious links, or fraudulent content if and when interactive features are available to you.

4. The clips and other content we provide

The clips and other media on animeclips.online are short excerpts curated for transformative use. The underlying copyrights remain with the original rights holders. We do not claim ownership of any anime title, character, frame, soundtrack, or other third-party copyrighted material.

5. Future account and community features

Some account-based and community features are being built and are not generally available yet. If and when they launch, additional terms specific to user-generated content, profile information, and community conduct will apply. Until then, the only personal information you may have shared with us is through subscribing to the newsletter or supporting on Patreon.

If you do contribute any text, links, or other content through any feature we open, you keep ownership of it. You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store, display, and serve that content for the limited purpose of operating animeclips.online. This license ends when you delete the content. We do not use your content to train artificial intelligence models, license it to third parties for commercial use, or sell it.

6. Nature of the site and fair use

animeclips.online hosts short clips, typically a few seconds to under a minute long. We do not host full episodes, complete films, or content that substitutes for watching the original work. The clips are intended as raw source material for AMVs, video edits, and other transformative creative work.

We respect copyright. If you are a rights holder who believes specific content infringes your rights, please follow the takedown procedure on our DMCA page. We act on valid notices promptly.

7. Membership and Patreon support

animeclips.online operates on a release-it-free-eventually model. Every clip pack we publish becomes free for everyone in time. We do not gate clips permanently behind a paywall.

Patreon supporters help fund the work and in return get earlier access: packs that are still being built and packs that are finished but not yet released to the public. Once a pack ships to the public library, it is free for everyone regardless of whether you support on Patreon. Current support tiers and what each one gets you are listed on our perks page, which is the live source of truth and may change over time.

Billing is handled by Patreon under their own terms and refund policy, which you can review at patreon.com/policy. We do not process payment information directly. Refund requests must be made through Patreon. We do not issue refunds on our side because we do not collect the payment.

If your Patreon membership lapses, you continue to have access to everything in the public library. You simply stop receiving early access to in-progress and unreleased work.

8. DMCA and copyright

Our complete copyright takedown procedure, including the requirements for a valid notice, counter-notice instructions, and our repeat-infringer policy, is at animeclips.online/dmca. Direct all copyright correspondence there.

9. Privacy

Your use of animeclips.online is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes what data we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

10. Disclaimer of warranties

The site is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law. We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. We do not warrant that any content on the site is accurate, complete, or fit for any particular purpose.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising out of or in connection with your use of the site. Our total liability for any direct damages is limited to the amount you have paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim, or one hundred Canadian dollars, whichever is greater. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to animeclips.online for material breach of these terms, for protecting the site, or for any other reason permitted by applicable law. Where reasonable, we will give you notice and an opportunity to correct the issue first. You may stop using the site at any time, and you can unsubscribe from the newsletter or cancel your Patreon support whenever you like. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, governing law) will continue to apply after termination.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the site evolves or to reflect changes in the law. If we make a material change, we will notify you by email or by a notice on the site before the change takes effect and ask you to accept the updated terms. Continued use of the site after the effective date of the change means you accept the updated terms.

14. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Quebec and the federal laws of Canada applicable in Quebec, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising out of these terms or your use of the site will be brought in the courts of the judicial district of Montreal, Quebec. Nothing in this section deprives you of consumer protection rights granted by the law of your country of residence.
